CMM Sales Specialist

About the Role

Due to retirement, Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd seek a CMM Sales Specialist to work in conjunction with the CMM Technical Manager, Senior Product Technical Specialist and Regional Sales team to propagate and procure orders for Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM’s), related software and associated products for the Midlands and South of the UK.

Working between the Andover HQ and Coventry sites as well as actively visiting customer premises, this is a multi-tasking role requiring excellent communication skills (written & verbal), exceptional organisational skills, high level of technical knowledge and an aptitude for selling the best product on the market.

This is a well-respected position within a national sales team and although given specific responsibilities and core duties it may require at times the need to be flexible in support of other personnel, departmental demands, regions or training duties.

Hours: This is a full time position, Monday to Friday with minimum hours 8.30am to 5pm daily.

The successful candidate will:

  • ensure MUK maintain dominant market share of the UK CMM metrology market place
  • confidently demonstrate Mitutoyo CMM’s and range of associated software’s
  • represent the Company in a professional manner at all times including smart business attire and excellent communication skills
  • have a full, clean driving licence
  • have excellent Engineering & I.T. skills
  • be able to fully uphold the Company CRM system with opportunity progress and contact maintenance relative to CMM enquiries and your general customer database
  • be able to work in partnership with Regional Technical Sales Representatives and Internal Support personnel to maximise sales potential
  • have the ability to work on a number of simultaneous events without sacrificing quality while monitoring and maintaining progress of all through to completion
  • attend exhibitions or other marketing events as and when necessary
  • have a willingness to learn; be very well organised; flexible and self-motivated

Technical Copywriter - Andover

Based at the Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd HQ in Andover, this is position is to support the Marketing Manager in developing printed and web-based promotional material such as catalogues, product brochures, flyers, case studies, product specifications, user manuals and educational materials related to Dimensional Metrology..

Mitutoyo are the world leaders in the provision of precision dimensional metrology equipment and as a consequence, this position demands good technical knowledge, preferably gained within our field of expertise and the writing ability to satisfy both an informed and uninformed audience.

An excellent command of the English language is essential as is the ability to write, understand and verify material often written by the non-native speaker that may require correction.

Creating clear, concise articles that are technically sound, easy to follow and interesting is an essential quality.

Responsibilities will include

  • Developing printed and web-based promotional material such as catalogues, product brochures, flyers, case studies, product descriptions, educational booklets and wallcharts aimed at helping prospective customers understand the features, advantages and benefits of Mitutoyo products.
  • Writing product white papers as directed.
  • Collaborating with marketing team members, customer solutions teams and product development teams.
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistence across all written marketing content, and incorporating revisions according to current routing procedures.
  • Defining a consistent voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels.

Controls Engineer - Coventry

About the Role

Mitutoyo Gauging Technology (MGT), a division of Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd is the UK leader in bespoke solutions to the Metrology market with both UK and Global customers.

From one-off fixtures to fully automated measurement systems, MGT meets the simplest or most complicated measurement challenge.

MGT boasts a high profile customer base across the Aerospace, Automotive and Orthopaedic industries but also servicing many other sectors.

Based at our Coventry office a Controls Engineer is sought to join our small and dedicated team enjoying a diverse range of work joining our Design section to create new software, electrical and electronic designs

An excellent command of the English language is essential.

The successful applicant will

  • be required to create cables, build electrical units, build and test PC systems and occasionally wire cabinets.
  • work closely with our mechanical and controls engineers and technicians
  • have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • have experience in the use of Microsoft Office; windows functionality and excellent keyboard skills
  • have a willingness to learn; be very well organised; flexible and self-motivated and to travel
  • experience in electronics/electrical design
  • experience in electronics/electrical manufacture
  • experience in testing and fault finding electronic/electrical systems
  • experience in using C++
  • experience in integrating software with control systems

About the Role

  • A ‘Service Engineer’ is sought to join our team of Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Service Engineers - ideally based in the Preston/Blackburn area thus easily able to support the North West Region of England, North Wales and the Scottish Borders.
  • You will be supported by the Service Support Department at our Andover Head Office
  • A multi-tasking role requiring attention to detail, excellent & clear communication skills (written & verbal) and good organisational skill in order to maintain service records and work methodology.
  • A period of training would be undertaken, during which it would be expected that terminology specific to our industry would have to be learnt as well as working to our own exacting standards.

The successful applicant will have

  • Have sound Mechanical or Multi-Disciplined Engineering skills (qualified to a minimum of ONC or BTEC level 3 or have relevant experience in a similar skill set).
  • Hold a valid & clean driving licence
  • Have the ability to work alone whilst also representing Mitutoyo at Customer premises
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours when required.
  • Be prepared to assist colleagues in other regions of the country when required

After completing a Training Programme for our range of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines, you will be involved & responsible for the following activities with regards to our equipment at Customer premises.
