Technical Copywriter - Andover

Based at the Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd HQ in Andover, this is position is to support the Marketing Manager in developing printed and web-based promotional material such as catalogues, product brochures, flyers, case studies, product specifications, user manuals and educational materials related to Dimensional Metrology..

Mitutoyo are the world leaders in the provision of precision dimensional metrology equipment and as a consequence, this position demands good technical knowledge, preferably gained within our field of expertise and the writing ability to satisfy both an informed and uninformed audience.

An excellent command of the English language is essential as is the ability to write, understand and verify material often written by the non-native speaker that may require correction.

Creating clear, concise articles that are technically sound, easy to follow and interesting is an essential quality.

Responsibilities will include

  • Developing printed and web-based promotional material such as catalogues, product brochures, flyers, case studies, product descriptions, educational booklets and wallcharts aimed at helping prospective customers understand the features, advantages and benefits of Mitutoyo products.
  • Writing product white papers as directed.
  • Collaborating with marketing team members, customer solutions teams and product development teams.
  • Ensuring accuracy and consistence across all written marketing content, and incorporating revisions according to current routing procedures.
  • Defining a consistent voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels.

Applicants will have knowledge and skills in a number of the following areas

  • Proven positions, marketing and copy/technical writing skills for a technology company.
  • Ability to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-orientated content/story lines.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop messaging and gather technical details

Credit Controller - Andover

About the role

  • To support the Financial Manager in the assessing of new accounts by way of credit information and maintaining the existing credit accounts to ensure our payment terms are adhered to.
  • A multi-tasking role requiring excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and exceptional organisational skill to achieve the Departments aim of efficient business finance.
  • The role works in close cooperation with our busy Salesdesk with whom support is highly valued as to the status of customer accounts and in resolving immediate queries.
  • An aptitude to assist, understand and occasionally undertake duties within a small ‘call receiving’ Salesdesk is essential in order to provide customer support at times of high demand/holiday cover etc. A reasonable understanding of terminology related to our business industry and product range will need to be acquired to aid efficiency.
  • Full time position, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm) with 1 hour for lunch.

The succesful candidate will have

  • Experience in using SAP.
  • Experience in credit control at a senior level.
  • Experience in making credit checks, interrogating credit reports.
  • Experience in ensuring receipt of customer payments to the agreed terms.
  • Knowledge of Intrastat procedures.
  • Experience in card payment systems.
  • Experience working with a CRM system.
  • Experience in maintain customer financial records.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) along with accurate note taking.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office; windows functionality and excellent keyboard skills.
  • The ability to consider a number of simultaneous events, monitoring through to completion.
  • Experience in the use of AS400 would be an advantage but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn; be very well organised; flexible and self-motivated.

Systems Administration Assistant - Andover

About the role

Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd is seeking a Systems Administration Assistant to support the Department Manager in maintaining the quality of work and customer service for the department and company.
A multi-tasking role requiring attention to detail; flexibility; clear communication skills (written & verbal) as well as exceptional administrative and organisational skills.
This role works within a small team and although given specific responsibilities, must be prepared to learn core duties of other roles within the department to be able to provide support at times of high demand/holiday cover etc. It would be expected that terminology specific to our industry would have to be learnt.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in some or all of the following, in house training will be provided if required.

  • Strong administrative skills in a technical environment.
  • Experience in co-ordinating training activities.
  • Working with a CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Ensuring the resolution Technical Support assistance.
  • Working within a Quality Management Systems (ISO9001.)
  • Working with and applying H&S and/or Environmental requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) along with accurate note taking.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office; Visio; windows functionality and excellent keyboard skills.
  • The ability to consider a number of simultaneous events, monitoring through to completion.
  • Experience maintaining records; preparing quotes; working to deadlines and prioritising workload.
  • Experience in the use of an AS400 based bespoke ERP system (shortly to be changed to SAP) would be an advantage but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn (systems, terminology etc); be very well organised; flexible and self-motivated.
