Showroom at our Andover HQ is now open!
We are pleased to announce that the newly refurbished Showroom at our Andover HQ is now open! After four months of demolition and reconstruction, our new state-of-the-art Showroom and Training facility is back in action, just in time for our 30th Anniversary celebrations.
On 1st January 2010 Mitutoyo will have been established in the UK for exactly 30 years. It was back in 1980 when Mitutoyo Corporation decided to set up its own organization to take over from the exclusive agent who had introduced Mitutoyo Small Tools to the UK market back in 1965.
Mitutoyo UK Limited started in an off-the-shelf industrial unit on Andover’s Walworth Industrial Estate where the company grew and prospered through the '80s. In 1990 the growth of the business allowed a move across town to the newly established West Point Business Park, and into the purpose-built HQ where the Company remains to this day.
This year the decision was made to update our demonstration and training facilities, and accordingly the showroom has been completely modernized with simple, stylish décor and hi-tech lighting system, a streamlined workbench for our range of measuring machines, a new small tools display and spacious CMM area, complete with Plasma Screens, while the Training Room has a new audio-visual presentation system. Customer comfort has also been enhanced so that visitors are now greeted in a sleek, modern and welcoming reception area that befits a company at the forefront of measurement technology.
